About the Home

This Granite Valley home was built by students from the Sioux Falls CTE Academy during the 2023-24 school year and was moved onto Habitat’s foundation last summer. Our construction team and volunteers have been working to finish up the home which will be dedicated to a family in May!

A student hands up a board to other students that will be used to truss a home. The home is partially constructed with scaffolding constructed around it. Students are wearing hard hats and tool belts.

A CTE Academy instructor teaches students how to properly secure the trusses. They are all wearing hard hats and are standing on top of the scaffolding.

A woman wearing a hardhat and gloves hammers supports for the foundation.

A group of volunteers with hardhats and hammers work on the foundation of the home. They are being instructed by Jolynn, Habitat's construction site supervisor.

A large truck carrying a home backs the home up in line with the foundation. The home is sided except where the garage will be added.

A partially completed home is raised above the foundation of the home.

Group of volunteers receive instruction from Dustin, Habitat's volunteer coordinator. The studs and trusses are set but unfinished.
