Our Impact

“I love getting to say that I personally helped BUILD my house. I used power tools that I never thought I would be brave enough to use on my own prior. It seemed like a lot of hours having to be put into volunteering for our sweat equity, but it was absolutely worth the hard work!”

Catie, Habitat Homeowner

“I volunteer with Habitat because it’s a great organization. I like knowing that all the sales at the ReStore go to help those who need housing or revitalization. I have always been blessed with a roof over my head, so I’m glad to help others.”

Kari, ReStore Volunteer

“Growing up in my own home meant that I was not different from other people and could have my own house. It reduced stresses like worrying about crazy rent increases and gave our family freedom to cook our cultural foods without getting complaints from anyone.”

Sammie, Child of Habitat Homeowners

“My favorite part about volunteering with Habitat is the comradery I have with other volunteers. It also gives me a renewed sense of purpose. I have been blessed with good health and financial security, so I want to give back.”

Bob, Habitat Volunteer

“It means everything to be a homeowner. We feel safe in our home, and the kids can go outside to play without worrying about traffic. Habitat’s Homeownership program was a great experience with lots of learning, and I truly enjoyed it.”
