ReStore on the Road for 2021 Community Donation Drives
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is traveling to nearby communities this summer. The annual community drives bring the donation center to you! Bring gently used items to donate during our community drive, and we’ll haul them back to the store for you. Donations will be resold to local families. Then those proceeds will help fund construction and repairs for families in need of decent housing.
The community drives will take place from 12-3 p.m. at the following locations:
- Saturday, May 29: Brandon Donation Drive at Ace Hardware (304 S Splitrock Blvd)
- Saturday, June 12: Harrisburg Donation Drive at Ace Hardware (200 W E Willow St)
- Saturday, June 26: Canton Donation Drive at The Depot (600 W 5th St)
- Saturday, July 10: Tea Donation Drive at Ace Hardware (701 Heritage Pkwy)
- Saturday, July 31: Hartford Donation Drive at Knotty Gnome (208 E Hwy 38)
- Saturday, August 7: Dell Rapids Donation Drive at Ace Hardware (1108 State Hwy 77)
- Saturday August 14: Lennox Donation Drive – sorry this event has been cancelled
About the ReStore
The ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells building materials, appliances, new and gently used furniture, and home accessories at a fraction of the retail price. ReStore proceeds help Habitat build and improve homes for Lincoln, Minnehaha, and Turner County residents. Donations keep more than 400 tons of reusable material out of the landfill each year.
What if my city is not on the list?
If you know a business who might donate some outdoor space, get in touch with our ReStore Manager, Alisha Grove, at (605) 274-6286. We also offer a pickup service. Please call 605-274-6286 to see if your donation is eligible.
What items can I donate?
We accept most items that are in good working condition that meet our ReStore donation guidelines. You can also call us before the event at (605) 330-1950 or ask questions on our Facebook Community Donation Drive Events.
