ReStore
Deconstruction
Add recycling to your renovation.
Our Deconstruction program can help you remove items during your renovation project. The reusable items get a second life and help raise money to support community members working to improve their housing situation.
What is Deconstruction?
Deconstruction is the process of removing reusable and recyclable materials by hand. This technique reduces the disposal of materials into the landfill and provides valuable building materials and home goods for the ReStore to sell.
Benefits of Deconstruction
- Items donated to the ReStore may be deductible for income tax purposes at their current market value.
- You save money on demolition and dumpster costs.
- Materials get a second life and don’t end up at the landfill.
- Money is raised to help build and repair homes for individuals and families in our community.
