Applications for homeownership are set to begin in July at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls. To help potential applicants prepare their applications and ask questions, Habitat is providing the 2020 program information through online webinars scheduled for:
Due to a limited number of virtual seats, interested individuals will need to register to attend these live webinars. They can do that below or on the Eventbrite site. There is no cost to attend and a session will be recorded and posted for applicants who cannot make one of these dates.
Applicants are encouraged to attend these free online sessions to learn more. All registered participants will receive a link to the webinar, which will be hosted via Zoom. The three sessions will cover the same topics, so applicants only need to attend one.
Habitat’s homeownership application drive, which was postponed in April due to COVID-19, is set to begin next month. The new start date for submitting applications will be Wednesday, July 1, 2020, and the new deadline will be 5 p.m. on Friday, July 31. New protocols will be in place this year to limit personal contact during the application process.
Applications will be made available starting Monday, June 29, 2020, but applications will not be accepted until July 1. Applications can be downloaded from the website. Application packets will also be available at the Habitat ReStore, but store hours may be limited. For other ways to receive an application, and for any other questions, reach out to Habitat’s Family Services Coordinator, Lisa Ross, at 605-274-6290.
Our 2020 income guidelines include an expanded income range for eligible veterans and teachers. To qualify for the homeownership program, applicants must have a need, the ability to pay, and a willingness to partner, as detailed in our program selection criteria.
